Boston 2025

Boston area runs in 2025.

This is a great run from my mother-in-law's in Arlington. A steep run up to Park Circle, then down to Robbins Farm Park,
great views of Boston in the distance. From there, down to Menotomy Rocks Park, stop at Hills Pond, after a few streets to a
path 'behind' Spy Pond. Onto the Minuteman Bikeway, a stop at Spy Pond, before heading back up, via Mass Ave, with a stop at the
Jason Russell House. Mostly 8x quicker, except for the brief stops.

Lovely run, starting on the Minuteman Bikeway (not on video, I've captured this route before) then via the
Mystic River Parkway to both the lower and upper Mystic Lakes. Early morning swimmers in the
upper lake! Return via Winchester Country club and quite a steep hill (and even steeper descent),
crossing the bikeway a final time, then back home.

A variation on the first run above, but this time running including part of Cambridge's
Alewife Brook Pathway.

This is my most common route while staying in Arlington, and it never gets boring.
Taking the lovely Minuteman Bikeway (passing Arlington Meadows etc.) to Lexington, and the
monuments at the Battle Green. There is so much history in this area, the start of the colonists'
uprising against the British, leading to the war of Independence. Many of the buildings
from that period survive. Return via Massachusetts Avenue (including Robbins Cemetery),
itself a historic route.

A lovely run on the last day of August, lovely cool morning temperatures, running up
Turkey Hill (where there's a water tower) then to the woods in Whipple Hill. From there,
I run via Lexington Community Farm to Arlington Reservoir. Finally, run up to Park Circle
Water Tower, and back down to where I started.

This was a run that started near Arlington Heights but camera starts on Broadway in Cambridge,
near the Longfellow Bridge. Cross the bridge, take in the view along the Charles River,
then along Charles Street for a couple of blocks until I run up Beacon Hill, including
the lovely Louisburg Square. Finally the State House, then down Boston Common to the
Park Street T station.
